Mae’s Under 12 had the highest number of pupils in the top one percent at the recent National Grade Six Assessment.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Education, Mae’s Under 12 had a total of 29 students in the top one percent. It was followed by Green Acres Primary with a total of 15, Success Elementary with 14, Academy of Excellence with 12, New Guyana School with a total of 10, West Field Prep with 6, North Georgetown Primary with 5, Better Hope Primary, Marian Academy and New Diamond/ Grove Primary with a total of 4 each.
The results for the National Grade Six Assessment were released last Friday at a ceremony held at the Pegasus Suites Exhibition Centre.
The top three pupils were Glasford Archer of Leonora Primary School, Ritisha Gobin of Academy of Excellence and New Guyana School’s Ayana Jagnandan. They scored 506.7 out of 507.
