Marian Academy and Kwakwani were crowned the Boy’s U16 and U14 champions respectively when the ExxonMobil National School Basketball Festival continued on Sunday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
In the U16 final, Marian Academy crushed Queen’s College 82-60. Divisional Most Valuable Player (MVP) Jaden Simon accumulated impressive figures of 28 points, 30 rebounds, and six assists, whilst Marion Fiedtkou tallied a game-high 31 points. Adding 15 points and four rebounds was Kaden Khan.
For Queen’s College, Owen Hooper and Francois Mayers registered double-doubles of 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Ezekiel Griffith supported with 11 points, and nine rebounds.
