Undefeated Rivers View overcame a one goal deficit twice to defeat Wolves FC 3-2 in the Bartica Football Association Senior Men’s League on Monday evening at the Community Centre ground.
Fenton Wessle handed Wolves the initial lead in the 30th minute. However, Rivers View equalised in the form of Andrew Simmons five minutes later. Wolves then stormed into the halftime interval ahead at 2-1, as Jahcure Thomas made his presence felt with a 45th minute conversion.
Nonetheless, it proved to be a game of two halves, as Rivers View recorded two unanswered goals to seize the win. The lead proved to be short-lived for Wolves as Simmons restored parity to proceedings at 2-2, following a 47th minute strike. The come from behind result was then sealed as Antonio Jones etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 56th minute.
