The Government Analyst – Food and Drug Department (GA-FDD) is alerting consumers of a voluntary recall of belVita Breakfast Sandwich, (Dark Chocolate Creme Variety & Cinnamon Brown Sugar with Vanilla Creme variety manufactured by Mondelēz Global LLC in the United States of America and imported by Massy Distribution (Guyana) Inc.
Only the products listed herein are affected by the product recall, which applies to products with best before dates June 1, 2023 & prior to and including February 25, 2024, and bar codes: 044000043285,044000057237, 044000058616, 044000063306, 044000046026, 044000063047, 044000040703, 044000063702.
A release from the GA-FDD said that the recall is based on the possibility that the products may contain undeclared peanut resulting from cross- contamination on one of the manufacturing lines. Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanut may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by consuming these products.
