The Sports Committee of the African Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) will stage an Emancipation Day of Sports at the National Park, Thomas Lands from 11:00hrs.
This was disclosed by an official release from the organization. According to the correspondence, several sports will be conducted inclusive of circle tennis [mixed teams], 8-over soft-ball cricket [male and female], 5-aside football [u16, seniors, and veterans], and dominos.
Teams from Georgetown, East Bank Demerara, West Coast Berbice and East Coast Demerara are penciled to participate. Cash incentives, trophies, and medals will be presented to the respective winners.
