Excelsior earned their berth to the semi-final round in the Georgetown segment of Region #4 division, thrashing Marian Academy by a 10-0 score-line in the Digicel Schools Football Championship yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Antonio MacArthur led the carnage with a first half hat-trick in the 15th, 21st, and 28th minute. He was supported by doubles from Solomon Reginald in the 11th and 46th minute and Dwayne James in the 26th and 51st minute. Adding goals in the 31st, 52nd, and 60th minute respectively were Adriano Wharton, Shaquille Sargeant, and Tyrece Lyle.
The event continues on Saturday at the same venue with the semi-final section as well as the commencement of the loser’s bracket.
