Young to oppose Squires today in Men’s 35 Divisional final

Aubrey Younge will battle Phillip Squires today in the Men’s 35 Singles final of the Guyana Tennis Association (GTA) ‘One Guyana’ Open, following a semi-final victory over defending champion Ronald Murray yesterday.

The no. #4 seed Younge defeated the no. #1 seed Murray 6/3, 2/6 (retired), after the latter was unable to resume the match. He will now oppose Squires for the title.

Meanwhile, no. #2 seed Gavin Lewis crushed Seanden David-Longe 6/1, 6/0 in their semi-final encounter to progress to the championship match in the Men’s Open division. Lewis will also oppose Squires for the title.

On the other hand, the Ladies Open final will also be contested tod0ay between Paula Kalekyezi and Afruica Gentle.
