Mighty Ruler was crowned the ‘Five Star General’ Futsal Champions, defeating Wonder Kids 1-0 on Saturday evening in the final at the Bartica Community Centre tarmac. Eventual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Keron Spencer recorded the only conversion of the match to seal the result. Due to the outcome, Mighty Ruler walked away with $100,000 and the championship trophy whilst the loser pocketed $50,000. On the individual side, Joel Murray of Mighty Rulers walked away with the Best Goalkeeper accolade, after achieving a clean sheet in the final.
