A 42-year-old medical student, Kim Near of ‘C’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, is in critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital Inc., after sustaining injuries to the left side of his chest and head following a confrontation with his neighbour on Sunday night.
Police investigations have so far disclosed that the neighbour has a habit of constantly tying his horse in front of Near’s residence. On Sunday night at about 2206 hours, the suspect was again seen tying his horse in front of Near’s home. Near told the suspect to desist but this made the neighbour annoyed, leading to a confrontation between the two men on the main road.
As a result, Near sustained injuries to his body inflicted by the neighbour. The police said that checks were made for the suspect at his residence, but he was not located. Investigations are ongoing.
