(Trinidad Guardian) The Ministry of Health (MOH) has discovered a third case of the Monkeypox (Mpox) virus was confirmed via laboratory testing earlier yesterday. The patient is a young adult male with a recent travel history.
A release said the relevant County Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) is currently conducting an epidemiology investigation and has initiated the local public health response, which includes home isolation and contact tracing for the patient.
On July 11, officials reported the first confirmed Monkeypox (Mpox) activity in Trinidad and Tobago. A day later, a second case was recorded.
