The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has officially appointed Troy Peters as its Director of Competitions effective from yesterday.
This was disclosed by an official release from the entity. According to the correspondence, Peters will be responsible for supervising and administering all GFF tournaments and competitions, noting that his post will also include duties such as working with member associations, private promotional entities and coordinating and implementing the GFF’s Nationwide FIFA Football for School (F4S) Competition programme.
The release further stated that Peters will also be tasked with communicating with officials, referees, coaches and clubs during and after tournaments, as well as monitor the compliance of all GFF Competition Rules and Regulations, and serve in the capacity of Club Licensing Manager of the federation.
“Mr. Peters is a seasoned Corporate Communications Professional with a wealth of experience in Communications, Sports, Management and Administration, having had exposure to areas such as Media Management, Sports Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, and Event Management. Mr. Peters is a graduate of the Institute of Commercial Management (London) and the Caribbean Publishing and Broadcasting Association”, the release stated.
“Troy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this very important role and I would like to assure him of our complete support and wish him every success”, GFF President Wayne Forde said.
