With the CONCACAF Boy’s U15 Championship penciled to commence on August 5th, Devnon Winter, head-coach of the Golden Jaguars junior programme has confirmed that the final playing roster will be shortlisted on July 27th.
This was stated during a brief interview with Stabroek Sport yesterday. According to Winter, “We have 25 players shortlisted at the moment in training, and we expect by the 27th to have finalised the travelling team. The team should be traveling by the 4th [August].”
He further said, “We were working on individual and technical play and have moved on to working on group tactics. We are in our fifth week of training and we have intensified our training because school has closed and have had sessions for the entire week. Everything has worked out well so far. We had a practice game against the National U17, and they won 5-2 but the result did not matter, it was about the moments.”
