The Executive of the Guyana Olympic Association has aided in Tyson English’s successful completion of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme.
This is according to a statement released to the media yesterday.
The release stated that “the Committee is pleased to announce that Tyson English, a Weightlifting Coach, has recently successfully attended and completed the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme.”
A total of 40 international coaches enlisted with 30 successfully completing the programme. The programme was in partnership with the USOC, USPC, University of Delaware and Olympic Solidarity.
By this gesture, the Executive continues to reaffirm its commitment towards laying the foundation for better performances by Guyanese athletes which is intrinsically linked to the capacity building of Coaches in the various disciplines.
The release went on to state that from a total of 35 credit scores, English secured 100%, after completing all virtual and in-person sessions.
“Congratulations to Mr. English and best of luck in his future endeavours” the release concluded.
