Potaro Strikers and AK Galaxy recorded hard-fought victories when the Bartica Football Association Senior Men’s League continued on Friday evening at the Community Centre ground.
Potaro Strikers overcame a one-goal first-half deficit to defeat emerging outfit Rising Stars 3-2. Shamar Stephen led the come-from-behind win with a second-half brace in the 58th and 74th minute, whilst Daniel Gardner opened his team’s account via a fourth-minute conversion.
For the loser, Chad Edwards and Ashton Dutchin etched their name on the scorer’s sheet in the 20th and 38th minute respectively.

Similarly, AK Galaxy squeaked past Mil Ballers 2-1. Ashbert Helenkirk and Romario Perreira found the back of the net in the 25th and 35th minute respectively. On target in the loss was Kishon John in the 72nd minute.
