GOA observes Olympic Day at Gymnasium

The National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue was a hive of sporting activity yesterday as the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) did its part in observing Olympic Day 2023.

Olympic Day is celebrated annually around the world from June 23.

The first annual Olympic Day was held on June 23, 1948 with nine National Olympic Committees (NOCs) hosting events on the anniversary of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) creation in 1894.
