Commuters residing beyond Canal #2 will use the water taxi service which will on and offload opposite the Wales Police Station on the West Bank and similarly on and offload at Market Street, Grove on the East Bank Demerara.
Thirdly, MARAD stated that additional services are in place to ease a potential congestion of traffic at the Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling. MARAD said that there will be proper lighting and ramps installed as well as other necessary measures at all locations. According to MARAD, these areas will be lit, secured and monitored by the Guyana Police Force. Additionally, MARAD has placed monitors and inspectors at all locations.
