Police yesterday issued a wanted bulletin for Bernard Hamilton Dove, 41, who is wanted for questioning in the attempted murder on July 19 of a 31-year-old porter at Falls Top Village, North West District, Region One.
Dove‘s last known address is Falls Top Village, North West District.
Enquiries revealed that on July, 19 at about 22.05 hours, both the victim, Devon Williams, and the suspect were ‘liming’ at Boyo Shop in Falls Top when the victim’s sister and the suspect had a misunderstanding. This caused Williams to intervene, after which the suspect told Williams that he was going for his arrow and left. The suspect returned a few minutes later with an arrow in his hand, rushed towards Williams and stabbed him in the abdomen, the police said. The attacker then escaped.
Williams, assisted by relatives and the Village Chairman, was taken to Port Kaituma District Hospital from where he was later taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
