Fifty-eight-year-old Raymond Mohamed, of Lot 317 East Street, Georgetown, appeared before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, to answer to the charge of simple larceny.
It is alleged that on July 13, Mohamed stole a pair of side view mirrors valued at $50,000 from motor car PZZ 4197, belonging to Chandradat Kooldeep. It is also alleged that on December 17, 2022, at Cummings Street, Georgetown, he stole another pair of side view mirrors valued at $60,000.
The prosecutor objected to bail based on the fact that Mohamed has about five prior charges for similar offences. Notwithstanding, the magistrate granted him bail in the sum of $50,000 for both cases. The matter was adjourned to September 13.
