Emanuel Hawker, 25, of Lot 1715 Party Place, South Ruimveldt, appeared yesterday before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge of robbery under arms and possession of ammunition without a licence.
It is alleged that on July 14, at Forshaw Street, Queenstown, Georgetown, while armed with a handgun, he robbed Karla Gabriela Rivera Meza of one Samsung cellular phone valued at $26,000.
It is also alleged that on the same day and place, he robbed Maria Jose Madero Perez at gunpoint, relieving her of her Samsung cellular phone valued at $50,000. It is further alleged that he also robbed Johan Enrique Figueroa Furresta at gunpoint of one Samsung S9 cellular phone valued at $40,000.
Hawker pleaded not guilty to all three offences.
The accused was also charged with possession of 10 rounds of .32 ammunition without a licence when he is not a holder of a firearm licence. He was not required to plead.
The court prosecutor objected to bail and bail was refused.
Hawker will reappear at court on September 20.
