The Ministry of Public Works yesterday reminded truck drivers to cover truck trays when transporting materials in order to prevent accidents.

Uncovered trays  is an offence under  Regulation No. 99 of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regulations, Cap. 51:02.

Truck drivers transporting materials such as sand, loam, stones, dirt, garbage, and other materials, are advised to have their trays covered. According the Ministry of Public Works press release, the ministry has received a number of reports of trucks transporting materials along the public roadways without adequate coverings that would prevent the materials from being displaced from their trays.
