DC Caesar Fox, St Ignatius and Carmel recorded contrasting wins to seal semi-final berths when the Digicel Schools Football Championship continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Region #7 winners DC Caesar Fox dismantled Charlestown 5-0. Carrington Isaacs recorded a brace in the 43rd and 49th minute whilst Bevon Jones also added a double in the 71st and 77th minute. Netting in the 29th minute was Antonio Isaacs.
Similarly, Region #9 champions St Ignatius, whipped Tucville 5-1. Romel Ernest recorded a second-half hat-trick in the 49th, 70th and 74th minute whilst Morgan Taruma and Akon Albert scored in the 60th and 62nd minute respectively. For the losers, Akil Barrow netted in the 62nd minute.
On the other hand, Carmel defeated Georgetown champions Dolphin 3-1 in a feisty ‘Smyth Street’ derby. The trio of Ian Daniels, Marcus Layne and Amar Husbands scored in the 22nd, 29th and 49th minute respectively. On target in the loss was Jequan Cole in the 10th minute.
