Last Saturday under the searing heat of the sun, the City was chock-a-block with shoppers and strollers, braving the heat to enjoy a city in which, up to this time at least, public chatter is less about climate change and more about taking a break from the challenges of what, all too frequently, can be demanding routines. Saturdays, as can be discerned from some of these photographs, are also valued trading days.
