A Haslington, East Coast Demerara man was stabbed to death after he was involved in a heated argument with another man yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Erick Fraser. Stabroek News was told that after Fraser was stabbed he ran towards his home but subsequently collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are ongoing.

Police are investigating the alleged murder of Eric Fraser, called ’50 Cent’, a 42-year-old Construction Worker of Lot 162 Haslington, East Coast Demerara, which occurred between 19:30hrs 19:35 hrs on 2023-08-10 at Haslington North.
Enquiries disclosed that Fraser left home at about 16:00hrs and was at a barbershop at Haslington North where he was liming with friends.
An argument ensued between the now-deceased man and the suspect, who took out a weapon (unknown) and dealt the deceased a stab to his left-side groin. Fraser ran about 200 ft and collapsed. He was picked up by EMT from Melanie Fire Station #PYY 3519, taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, and pronounced dead on arrival by Dr Elliot.
The body was examined, and a stab wound was observed. The body is at the GPHC’s Mortuary awaiting PME.
