Rising Stars and Wolves United recorded contrasting wins when the Bartica Football Association Senior Men’s League continued on Wednesday evening at the Community Centre ground.
Rising Stars brushed aside Lazio by a 5-0 score. The contest was effectively over at the halftime interval, as Rising Stars soared to a commanding 4-0 advantage. Reagan Kippins opened his account in the first minute, before doubling the lead in the 25th minute to complete his brace.
Chad Edwards then got into the scoring act, tallying a brace in the space of two minutes. Edwards etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 31st minute, before recording his second in the 33rd minute to complete a lopsided first half.
The result was then completed in the 73rd minute, as Kippins made his presence felt once more to seal his hat-trick. On the other hand, Wolves United squeaked past AK Galaxy 1-0. Malcolm Augustus found the back of the net in the 12th minute.
