Twenty-seven-year-old Nicholas Fernandes, a mechanic, of Lot 157 D’andrade Street, Kitty, Georgetown, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly yesterday to answer to a charge over money for a car engine.
It was alleged that on 31st October, 2022, he was entrusted by Anushaka Lopez with the sum of $500,000 for the purpose of purchasing an engine for a motor car on her behalf which he used for his own personal use and benefit.
He pleaded not guilty and was placed on bail in the sum of $150,000.
