Assistant Superintendent S. Harris, Sergeant Johnson, Sergeant Douglas and Lance Corporal Fordyce from Regional Police Division #3 on Monday spearheaded a community outreach at Parika Backdam, East Bank Essequibo.
The Police team met with residents who voiced several concerns, the major issue being stray animals destroying their cash crops.
Residents said the situation is frustrating as the animals are destroying their crops, and there seems to be no redress as the animals are allowed to stray, and no one is taking responsibility, a release from the police said.
