A Region Two farmer’s lifeless body was discovered on Tuesday not far from his motorcycle on a trail leading to his farm. It is suspected that he died as a result of an accident.
The dead man has been identified as 40-year-old Ganesh Ramcharran also known as ‘Krishna’ of Lot 4 Pomona Village in Region Two. His body was discovered at `Gave Hill’, Mashabo. The farmer had left his home around 5:00 am Tuesday to visit his farmland at Mashabo. He was riding motorcycle CL 5021 at the time of his death. It is suspected that Ramcharran lost control of his motorcycle and fell, breaking his neck in the process.
According to his father, Harrinarine Ramcharran known as ‘Gunman’, he received the call about his son’s discovery on Tuesday afternoon. When he ventured to the location, he saw the deceased lying approximately six feet from the cycle. The father said he was wearing a helmet and when he checked, his neck appeared to have been broken.
“He was lying in a pool of blood, when I check it’s like he neck broke, but my son is doing this for long I don’t know what happened, we waiting on post mortem.”
He added that his son had a plot of land where he cultivated a farm and he usually left early in the morning and returned in the afternoon. He was a father of one.
His mother Baitwattie Ramcharran lamented that it was her only son. She said he was not suffering from any ailments and had left home in high-spirits.
