An accident yesterday involving a car and a bus at the corner of George and D’Urban streets has resulted in injuries to a mother and daughter who were vending there.
The victims, Trisha Alfred and her mother, Abiola Shepherd, sustained several injuries when their stall was hit by an out-of-control car.
A relative of the injured women, Trishaun Mc Curdy, who witnessed the accident, told Stabroek News that the car, PAC 2535, was travelling along D’Urban Street when the driver attempted to turn north into George Street. However, instead of completing the turn, the vehicle went out of control and collided with a stall positioned at the north-western corner where Alfred and Shepard were sitting.
