Dear Editor,
It is beyond understanding that the lame-brained explanation offered by community officials to residents for a large sum of unaccounted cash as being discovered only when they returned to their hotel room and the commercial bank “had robbed them”. Really! It is being alleged the matter was downplayed and no investigation was undertaken by the authorities. Now another unaccounted monies’ matter has taken hold with residents protesting. It has been boasted that measures are in place to avoid financial malfeasance with the national coffers. With these revelation the echoes of accountability and transparency ring hollow.
