Two women appeared yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly where they were charged with the use of abusive language and unlawful assault.
The two charges against Michelle Thorrington stated that on August 12, at Middle Road, East La Penitence, Georgetown, she made use of abusive language to Delicia McDonald in breach of the peace, and on the same date and location, she unlawfully assaulted McDonald.
Thorrington pleaded guilty and was placed on $20,000 bail.
Meanwhile, the charges against McDonald stated that on August 12, at Middle Road, East La Penitence, Georgetown, she made use of abusive language to Thorrington in breach of the peace. And another charge stated that on August 20, at Middle Road, East La Penitence, McDonald unlawfully assaulted Thorrington to cause her actual bodily harm.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was placed on $35,000 bail.
The case has been transferred to Court 6 since they both have current matters at the same court.
