Natasha Neptune (address not stated) appeared virtually on Friday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly where she was charged with simple larceny.
It was alleged that on August 23, at Waterloo Street, Georgetown, Neptune stole $50,000 belonging to Waheeda Khan.
Neptune pleaded not guilty and told the court that she was willing to repay Khan the money, however Khan requested that the charges be proceeded with.
The prosecutor had no objections to bail.
Following her not guilty plea, the defendant was placed on $25,000 bail.
Neptune is scheduled to make her next court appearance on October 16 for statements and the matter has been transferred to Court 6.
