`I’m hoping we can win the tournament this year’

A section of the Guyana Amazon Warriors women departed Guyana for Barbados where they will join the rest of the team for the upcoming Women’s Caribbean Premier League

Nine players from Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica departed local shores yesterday en route to Barbados where they will join the rest of the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women’s team for the upcoming Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL).

Among them were captain, Stafanie Taylor, Karishma Ramharack, Djenaba Joseph, Ashmini Munisar, Shemaine Campbelle, Sheneta Grimmond, Shabika Gajnabi, Cherry-Ann Fraser and Kaysia Schultz.

At the Eugine F. Correia International Airport, Ogle, Taylor spoke to the media prior to departure and revealed that the recent stint in Guyana was memorable.
