Seon Clarke, 42, a caterer, of Lot 57 Bent Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, appeared on Monday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rhondell Weever where he was charged with a cybercrime.
It is alleged that on May 15 at Georgetown, Clarke used a computer system to publish electronic data containing personal information of a woman, to cause her public ridicule and emotional distress.
The prosecutor did not object to bail but requested that the defendant lodge his travel documents and report to the CID Headquarters every other Friday.
Following the defendant’s not guilty plea, bail was granted by the magistrate in the sum of $60,000 on the grounds that the defendant reports to the CID Headquarters every other Friday, commencing September 08,
Clarke is scheduled to make his next court appearance on September 11 for statements.
