One of the lodges under construction

The construction of 30 eco-lodges at Diamond on the East Bank Demerara is in its final stages and is expected to be completed by September 7th to accommodate the influx of tourists coming for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023.

The project which began in June is being constructed under the Ministry of Housing by DuraVilla Homes, a local construction company, which is also working with consultants from a company in the United Arab Emirates. This project forms part of an initiative tailored to support 120 women in business and will see these women undertaking the management of the lodges.
