Three men appeared virtually at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rhondell Weever last week, where they were each charged with assault.
The particulars of the offence stated that Robin Marks, a 58-year-old contractor (address not stated) on August 02, at Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown, unlawfully assaulted Rajesh Pollard.
It is also alleged that on August 02, at Duke Street, Marks also unlawfully assaulted Sunil Pollard.
Marks pleaded not guilty to both charges and was placed on bail in the sum of $20,000.
Meanwhile, it is alleged that Sunil Pollard, 43, (address not stated) on the same date and location unlawfully assaulted Marks.
Sunil Pollard pleaded not guilty and was placed on bail in the sum of $10,000.
It is also alleged that Rajesh Pollard, 48, (address not stated) on August 03, at the same location unlawfully assaulted Marks.
Following his not guilty plea, Rajesh Pollard was placed on bail in the sum of $10,000.
The court heard that the three defendants are known to each other and had an altercation over a walkway. They were then arrested and taken into police custody.
Magistrate Weever placed the three defendants on a bond to keep the peace until the completion of the matter.
The trio is scheduled to make their next court appearance on September 04 for statements.
