Dear Editor,
Queen’s College Georgetown alum (Sir) Trevor Phillips grabbed a Brinish television prime spot with the broadcast of the first SUNDAY WITH TREVOR PHILLIPS today on Sky News. This show which, along with the BBC version, aims to make the Monday (and beyond) headlines in British politics and more. It did with three cracking interviews with author Andrew Morton, disgraced (and redeemed) politician Jonathan Aitken and beleaguered UK finance minister Jeremy Hunt.
SWTP is the apex of a more than four-decade TV apprenticeship for Trevor. Along the way he has done some great public service in the London Assembly, heading the CHER and a dollar or two in business. The man done QC proud. Fideles ubique utiles (Faithful and useful everywhere…) as they say in Camp Street.
Sincerely,
John ‘Bill Cotton/Reform’ Mair
