Dear Editor,
I see recorded on the local calendar, September 14th as senior citizens day.
What does this mean?
There are so many of our elderly on the streets; homeless, listless, hopeless, hungry, sickly and dirty rather than being cared for lovingly. And I remember the words of the theme song in the movie,
‘Jesus Christ superstar’; “…people who are hungry, people who are starving, matter more than gold.”
We pumping black gold.
What exactly is being celebrated?
Could the Minister for welfare shine some light on the plan for this constituency?
Yours faithfully,
