Crane Rovers, led by a second-half hat-trick from Kwesi Henry, overcame a two-goal first-half deficit to defeat Uprising 3-2 when the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the Tuschen ground.
Uprising started brightly and seized control of the contest as they recorded two conversions in the space of five minutes. Julian Anthony broke the deadlock as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 30th minute. Racing onto a through pass, Anthony, upon entering the penalty area, fired his effort under the advancing goalkeeper during a one-on-one situation.
