Four buildings were destroyed over the last two days in fires determined to be arson in three different parts of the country leaving four people homeless.
A crew from the Mahaica Fire Station responded at about 23:45 hrs to a building that was on fire at Lot 79 Mosquito Hall, Unity, East Coast Demerara. Upon arrival, they found a two-storey, wooden building owned and occupied by Kubram Ramlall engulfed in flames. The Guyana Fire Service say the fire was maliciously set and destroyed the building, leaving its occupant homeless.
