ExxonMobil has changed its business name here from Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL) to ExxonMobil Guyana Limited, according to a notice by the company.
The name change will not in any way affect the standing Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) the company has with the Government of Guyana and partners CNOOC and HESS in the Stabroek or other blocks here.
In a public notice, notifying that the Environmental Impact Assessment of Cumulative Effects (CIA) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) prepared for a 12-well campaign in the Canje Block was submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency, the company stated the name change.
“The Environmental Impact Assessment of Cumulative Effects (CIA) and Environmental Impact Statement(EIS), prepared for 12-well exploration and appraisal campaign in the Canje Block, offshore Guyana, proposed by ExxonMobil Guyana Limited* (EMGL); formerly known as Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL), have been submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency,” the notice said.
