Lloyd Brummel (address not stated), appeared last week at the Georgetown Magistrates Court before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly where he was charged with simple larceny.
It is alleged that on Wednesday, September 6, at Lot 202 Hummingbird Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Brummel broke and entered the dwelling house of Royston Abrahams and stole a grass cutter machine and $20,700 cash, all belonging to Abrahams.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge that was read to him.
In spite of the prosecutor’s objection, bail was granted in the sum of $45,000.
Brummel is scheduled to make his next court appearance on October 27 for statements.
