Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) lifted the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) T20 Cup after beating Everest Cricket Club by seven wickets in yesterday’s final at Camp Road.
At the Everest Cricket Club ground, the hosts won the toss and opted to bat where they posted 161 for five from 20 overs while the visitors, DCC reached 162 for three in 16.4 overs in reply.
Everest lost Rajendra Chandrika for a 17-ball 15 but Akshaya Persaud and Richie Looknauth joined forces to put on 103 for the second-wicket.
