Airy Hall and Mahaica Determinators recorded contrasting wins when the East Coast Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League continued on Sunday at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Airy Hall defeated Dynamic by a 1-0 score. Eion Abel recorded the only conversion in the 19th minute. Meanwhile, Mahaica crushed the Victoria Scorpions 10-1.
Julius Hamilton recorded a helmet trick in the 17th, 18th, 40th, and 52nd minutes, while Samuel Van Dyk added a double in the 12th and 20th minutes. Chipping in with goals in the 24th, 42nd, 50th, and 62nd minutes apiece were Nathan Daw, Leslie Franklin, Michel Lewis, and Kevin Sherwood. On target for the loser in the 29th minute was Andrew George.
The event continues tomorrow with another fixture at the same venue.
