Guyana, Qatar sign pacts on investment, technical co-operation

Guyana and the Middle Eastern state of Qatar yesterday signed agreements on investment and technical co-operation.

The agreements came as Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani paid a flying visit to the country.

According to a Joint Communique released after the visit,  Guyana and Qatar have signed an Agreement to encourage and protect mutual investment between the two countries.

Both states also signed another pact regarding economic, commercial and technical cooperation as well as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Legal Cooperation.
