Jaguars, 7K United, and Gladiators, secured wins in the first leg of their respective quarterfinal fixtures when the Rupununi Football Association Champions League continued on September 9th.
The Jaguars overcame the Gladiators 3-2 in the male division at the Culver City ground. On the other hand, 7K United thrashed Challengers 6-0 at the Karasabai Sports Ground in the male segment.
Meanwhile, the Gladiators defeated the Kanuku Warriors 2-1 in the female segment at the Culver City ground. Also, Surama edged 7K United 1-0 in the women’s division at the Karasabai Sports Ground.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, September 2nd, the Paiwomak Warriors and Titans recorded wins in the female and male divisions, respectively.
At the Annai Sports Club ground, Paiwomak Warriors defeated Strikers 2-0. On the other hand, Titans United downed Tabatinga 5-3 at the Aishalton Ground.
In other results, Strikers and Paiwomak Warriors battled to a 1-1 stalemate in the men’s division at the Annai Sports Club ground. Also, Potarinau Sky Kings and Guyana Rush Saints contested to a 2-2 draw in the women’s segment at the St. Ignatius ground. The second leg of the fixtures will be contested tomorrow.
