The Viraat Sabhaa Guyana is fully opposed to the sacrilegious usage of paper bags with Hindus religious symbols by a business entity selling chicken. The Sabhaa recommends an immediate halt to the exercise and is appealing to all to put an end to this malpractice.
Hindu festivals over the years have also attracted many small businesses and individuals who contribute to the desecration of our occasions. The names of our festivals and symbols must not be used to advertise any activity, which is adverse to the deep meaning of our sacred festivals. The Sabhaa and the Hindu community at large will be very vigilant in our approach to those who attempt to disregard our culture and traditions. The Sabhaa is in solidarity with Hindus nationally and internationally to combat any attempt to disregard our festivals and ceremonies.
The Sabhaa will be engaging other Hindu leaders very soon to discuss and arrive at conclusions that will promote Hindu awareness.
