Triumph man gets 12 months for drugs

Nigel Glasgow, a 52-year-old unemployed man from Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on 2023-09-15 and charged yesterday with possession of  narcotics for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance (Control) Amendment Act 10:10.

Dear Editor, The bizarre introduction of ‘Policia’ signs on Guyana Police Force vehicles is a mistake that should have been admitted and corrected, the Commissioner of Police chose however to ‘double down’ and issued a statement in defence of the signage that said “GPF Police patrol vehicles to have both English and Spanish writing as a strategic and inclusive approach towards improving service delivery”.
