Opening the batting with Clayton Lambert he was caught by Viv Richards off the bowling of Eustace Proctor for 17. He failed to score in Guyana’s second innings.

When Sudesh Dhaniram announced his arrival at the regional first-class scene with consecutive centuries in 1987, Sattaur’s first-class career was limited to three more matches, one against   Barbados in 1988 at the Kensington Oval and two in 1990 against the Leeward Islands.

His highest first-class score remains 94 against Demerara at the Blairmont Community Centre Ground 1989 in the Inter-County final.
