LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)

The Lucas Stock Index fell 0.530 percent during the third period of trading in September 2023.  A total of 151,387 shares changed hands during this trading period.  There was one Climber and two Tumblers, resulting in a market loss of over G$4.5B. 

The stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 0.392 percent on the sale of 116 shares.  In contrast, the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) declined 1.575 percent on the sale of 124,290 shares while the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) fell 1.085 percent on the sale of 5,000 shares. 

In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Banks DIH (DIH), Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) and Republic Bank Limited (RBL) remained unchanged on the sale of 17,071; 1,160 and 3,750 shares respectively.
