Persons who have been allocated residential lots Phase 4 and 5, Tract CHPA (Poke Bridge), Lethem will soon have access to their lands as infrastructure works are almost at an end.
Earlier yesterday, Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA) Sherwyn Greaves, visited the location and was briefed on the ongoing works by the clerk of works.
The contractor, R. Kissoon Contracting Services, is expected to finish works on the road network in Phase 5 by the end of this week, while the road network in Phase 4 has been completed.
Also, works are ongoing on the drainage networks, as culverts are being built. The laying of the pipe network for water supply will also start soon, a release from the CHPA said.
In May of this year, a $507 million contract was clinched for the ongoing infrastructure works, which when completed will see some 400 persons gaining access to their land.
